How we handle what you send us through the inquiry form.

The short version
- We only collect what you send us through the inquiry form.
- We use it to reply to you and plan the project. Nothing else, and never for a mailing list.
- It's stored in Toronto, and only the Reeleyes team can read it.
- Ask us any time to see it, correct it or delete it.
Reeleyes Inc. ("Reeleyes", "we") is a production company in Ontario. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why, and the choices you have. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
When you send an inquiry through the inquiry form, we collect:
- your name and email address
- the type of project and your budget range
- the message you write
- the date and time you sent it, and that you agreed to this policy
We don't ask for, and you shouldn't send, payment details, ID documents or contracts through this website.
Browsing the site doesn't require you to give us any personal information. The site doesn't run analytics or use tracking cookies. After you send an inquiry, your browser keeps a small note of when you sent it, so the form can prevent accidental duplicates; it never leaves your device. Google reCAPTCHA may set its own cookies when you use the form (see below).
Why we collect it
We use your inquiry only to reply to you and to discuss and plan your project. We don't sell, rent or trade it, and we don't add you to a mailing list.
Consent
You give consent by ticking the box on the inquiry form. You can withdraw it at any time by contacting us, and we'll delete your inquiry unless we need to keep it for a project already under way or a legal reason.
Where it's stored and who can see it
Inquiries are stored in Google Cloud Firestore, part of Google Firebase, on servers in Toronto, Canada. Only the Reeleyes team can read them. They're sent to us over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and the website itself can't read them back.
Services this website uses
- Google Firebase hosts the website and stores inquiries.
- Google reCAPTCHA (through Firebase App Check) checks that inquiries come from real visitors and not automated spam. It loads when you use the inquiry form and collects information about your device and how you use the page. Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
- Vimeo hosts our videos. Video stills are loaded from Vimeo's servers, which receive your IP address. The Vimeo player only loads when you press play, and we ask it not to track you ("do not track"). Vimeo's Privacy Policy applies.
These providers may process information outside Canada, under their own privacy commitments.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete them. If we work together, project records are kept as needed for the project and for legal and tax requirements.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@reeleyes.productions and we'll respond within 30 days.
If you're not satisfied with how we handle your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
